“Parang kulang ang buong araw
sa ‘kin kapag kasama kita.”
There was arrogance in his gait. He walked as if he owned the room. He was tall. He looked rough on the edges. He was oozing with raw masculinity. He looked bold, sharp, dangerous.
Nang makalapit ito sa kanya ay hindi pa rin ito ngumiti. Naupo ito sa tapat niya.
“Sophia San Isidro,” he said. He seemed bored.
“Pablito Alzate,” balik niya. Hindi na siya nag-abalang magpakita ng ngiti rito. What for? “I already ordered for us. Nainip na ako sa kahihintay.”
Kumunot ang noo nito, humalukipkip habang nakatingin sa kanyang mukha. “What makes you think you know what I like?”
“For God’s sake, it’s just food.” Nairita siya.
“What did you order for me?”
“Chicken.”
“Then I guess you don’t know me at all. Do you know what I want to have for dinner?”
“What?”
Ngumisi ito, saka sumagot. “You.”
